Toss Sweep IS Back in the NFL!
As I was on my way to football practice last week, I heard something from some sports-talk hosts on the radio. It went something along the lines of, “Yeah, it’s like the toss sweep. It’s just for youth football now. Not even high schools run it…and especially not for the NFL!” My first urge was to call the hosts up, but being in radio myself I knew that wasn’t an option. Instead, I’ll just say my piece here.

No, the Toss Sweep is definitely NOT JUST A YOUTH FOOTBALL play. Just ask the Lions, 49ers, Cowboys and Ravens. It’s looking like it a mainstay of those current offenses, and there are RPO variants being run as well. Radio sports talk hosts — DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
